Product Description
This gene encodes a chromatin-associated enzyme, poly(ADP-ribosyl)transferase, which modifies various nuclear proteins by poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. The modification is dependent on DNA and is involved in the regulation of various important cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and tumor transformation and also in the regulation of the molecular events involved in the recovery of cell from DNA damage. In addition, this enzyme may be the site of mutation in Fanconi anemia, and may participate in the pathophysiology of type I diabetes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

PARP antibody detects PARP protein at nucleus in human oral carcinoma by immunohistochemical analysis. Sample: Paraffin-embedded human oral carcinoma. PARP antibody (GRP464) diluted at 1:500.
Cross-linked ChIP was performed with Raji chromatin extract and 5 ?g of either control rabbit IgG or anti-PARP1 antibody. The precipitated DNA was detected by PCR with primer set targeting to S100A9 promoter.
Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with PARP antibody (GRP464) diluted at 1:2000.
Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with PARP antibody (GRP464) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.
